There are a variety of purchasing options available, from Purchasing Cards (PCards) for frequently ordered, relatively low dollar purchases to formal bids for large pieces of equipment. The following resources will help you determine the appropriate purchasing method.

For purchases of any type of motorized vehicle, items with a value greater than $30,000, or any other significant purchase that you would like vendors to bid on, start by reviewing the Competitive Bid Process Policies and Procedures available from the Purchasing and Contract Services Department (Purchasing) website.

For smaller purchases, Purchasing has developed a 'How To Guide for Purchases Below the Bid Limit' that will help you get started.
